Snow On Roof Illegal!!!!

couple of things, not been on lately (too busy brushing the snow off 40 ft trailers to keep Karl happy)so missed all the excitement, never did I think a post about getting rid of the snow on your roof to help other drivers and drive in a respectful manner cause so much trouble....

I am still of the opinion that to brush the snow off whatever the depth is the right thing to do...

Also, I cant understand anyones, idea of NOT wanting to brush the snow off...

surely its just commonsense, but it seems theres the old old adage of someones got to buck the trend, be a renegade etc etc.

oh and whilst I was away I see that Karl put a pic up of a police van with snow on the roof...

I hope Karl that YOU didnt take the pic as IF you were in control of your car and taking snaps then that would be careless and possibly a offence of careless or dangerous driving would of been committed, and I also hope it wasnt taken with your mobile phone or we could add using a mobile whilst in control of a vehicle,

Its all right shouting and spouting but WE have all broken the law in some way or another and will continue to do so, but I think its time some of us started to act in a proper manner and have respect.

If you ever have another email that relates to the police giving out warnings etc please keep it to your self lol as all this has done is give me a head ache:lol:lol:thumbs:thumbs

Just had a phone call from the wife. She's gone to huddersfield shopping. Apparently on the way in to Huddersfield the ploice are stopping cars with snow on and making the drivers clear their cars with their bare hands if they don't have anything better.

About time too as I've seen some people who don't seem to care at all this morning.

well cba to read the entire thread, bad mod hehe

but a couple of days after south yorks was getting back on move
after 18-24 inches there was an annoucement on radio in sheffied,
was actually local independent station, radio hallam, with message
from sy police, that had lot of queries over this snow on roof
matter. they said nothing to do with them. indeed they hadnt
prosecuted any one, but felt it was a wind up come hoax which
had come from humberside area.

personally didnt read this as can do it its ok, more cynically havent
prosecuted anyone, YET, but ffs its clearly stupid not to try and
atleast get worst of it off. mind saw plenty of tall vans with roof
and ladder racks acting as reinforcements to their mobile drifts...
