I live in a village surrounded by countryside, I have walked and cycled many tracks and farm tracks in the area for over 30 years, never having any issues.
Just lately, I have heard about a game keeper telling walkers and cyclists to get off of a rough old track that has been known and used as a footpath/right of way for as long as I can remember. I always thought it was part of the Icknield way, but maybe wrong.
Anyway, today I get home early and decide to go on my pushbike, it's about a 6 mile ride some lanes, some field/farm tracks.
Along come this bloke on a quad bike, makes me stop and tells me I'm trespassing...on private land bla bla bla. I tell him I and many others have walked and rode this track for well over 30 years and if it is private, why are there keep out signs off of this track, into woods and fields. I get told that I could get injured if he or a tractor run into me and I must stay off this track.
I thought the government brought in a right to roam as long as your not doing damage :nenau
What do you guys think,
