Just got Email from TNT my Lokka is on it's way, currently in Dubai Air Hub should be with me Thursday, sadly too late for the Sunday off road meet, but watch this space for the front axle strip and rebuild, Rick

I'll have eyes on you Rick for sure!
That'll be an awesome thread if you can please?

Can't wait either. I've had my LOKKA sitting in the garage waiting for me for ages.
I have a Y61 front axle to gusset and build up. I'll try and keep up with your build Rick

Gusset? yea OK, mine will be with me Thursday but sadly no chance to do it for the Sunday meet with the girls, and I will not be postponing the meet for obvious reasons, :sly:sly, Rick

Gusset! yea now I understand, not quite sure what I first thought :doh, my Lokka arrived today but still not enough time to fit it before Sunday as I have started the nearside sill mod, Rick

So here is the first cut to a perfectly good sill apart from a small bit of rot at the rear

Light sand blasting to clean up, quite a lot of mud in there, but had many interruptions today so not got as much done as planned, cut the inner plate and will start welding tomorrow, on another note Evie has confirmed Lisa is coming on Sunday :clap, Rick

Cutting slot in scaffold pole, recip saw is faster than disk but once first slot is cut the cramps kept falling off due to vibration and flex in the tube diameter

Scaffold tube in place will weld as much as I can in the morning, as got to swap all the wheels and of load all my tools and stuff, then load up all the recovery equipment ready for Slindon with the two girls on Sunday, pics of that will follow, now a question, should I start a new thread for the Lokka fitting or just leave it in here? bearing in mind the one I did for the T2 was a separate thread, December 13 if anyone wants to look it up, they are different in as much as the T2 has a spider and 4 pinion gears whereas the Patrol has 2 pinions and two smaller idlers, Rick

I'm thinking maybe seperate thread so it's an entity in itself and would be easier hopefully to find.
