Did you jack it so the front wheels were off the ground ?

And did you loosen the top nut off ?

with standard bolts, jacked up to the limit you should have approx 85 mm of thread above the locknut, if you have less then guess you have not reached the top yet, Rick

thats with out indexing once u index the t/bars u should have less thread above the locking nut so the ride height can come up more:thumbs c my re indexing thread on how i managed mine
