Now I'm worried.....:nenau

Opposite of anorexia, I couldn't help looking at the truck and thinking it looked as if it was standard. It needed to be bigger...More to come on that...

Extended all my breather pipes.

My ariel had a burnt out motor so wouldn't work and was stuck in the up position so that had to go in the bin, as off road it will just get snapped off.

With the ariel out it was the perfect position to bring the breather pipes out. Merged all the pipes into 2 and brought them out the ariel hole and extended up to the top of the snorkel.

As said, I was slightly disappointed to not get the tyres I was after as they just touched the sill on full lock So wanted another lift. 2 inch body lift was ordered.

Had trouble with this as the bolts were wrong, had a different thread. Managed to get hold of a threaded bar of the correct pitch to solve this problem thank goodness.

So, lift is on and coupled with changing the front spring spacer from 10mm to 20mm the truck is just under a 5 inch lift tall now and wearing the 35 inch tyres

Thanks to a very good man I managed to get hold of a winch bumper, thank you:thumb2

So that's next on. It was adjusted as much as possible but with the body lift it's just not sitting where I'm happy with it. Need to weld on some brackets to give it more adjustability to move it further up but Happy to have it on now ready for the Wiltshire meet.

I don't know if you can see it but slight mod to the bumper to fit the cb ariel...Excuse the mud in the first picture it's actually very clean and black after the earlier rust proofing, prevention and treatment

So with ditching the standard radio ariel I got a dab radio. Also a cb to compliment the bumper mount ariel.

I went for a thunderpole t-2000. Which was a good price and a really nifty bit of kit, also has the frequencies to be able to use it in Europe if I do any driving or road trips abroad.

I also swapped them around in the dash so the CD player is now on top so the cb mic doesn't interfere with playing with the radio

Think that's me as ready as I can be for the meet on Sunday :clap

Looking good bud :thumbs

Winch bumper and moving it up has been the main reason I've not got a body lift :nenau

That looks better than it did sat in my garage mate.... Good job, will look great moved up a little.. My replacement is ordered and it will take its place on the garage floor until the y60 is all ready....

Yeah its definately possible, just needs a bit of work to make sure its absolutely strong and safe. Not sure how yours fits on but this one seems really well thought out.

Thanks, its caused a few tears and more than a few rants but getting there.

I cant leave the bumper as it will annoy me lol

Yeh the more I look at it the more I agree, would bug me too. Truck looks really good in that colour, looking forward to seeing it in the flesh :thumb2

ARB use a separate bracket that bolts between the chassis mounts and the bumper.

Not impossible to mod but not straightforward. I'll stick with the suspension lifts for just now :thumbs

Are you going for a 6 inch suspension lift next :D
