I wanted to get these, waystone extremes. They are the same size 35x12.50x16 but were a good bit bigger, taller and much wider. I think they were 14 inches from end of lug to lug. They just touched on the sill on full lock So decided to go for the maxxix instead. Shame. Might get these next time ;)

Nice bud, looking good :thumb2

I'm meaning to go 35s next change :D

I like the look of those Maxxis, how much were you if you don't mind me asking?

Truck is looking superb mate, coming together very nicely now. You must be pleased with it. Got my bumpers at home now if your over this way.

I think they were £140 a tyre Rob. If you have 8 inch rims these will be good as without beadlocks you can air these down to 10 psi and should be pretty safe. On a 10 you will have more chance of loosing air.

Thanks mate, I'll send you a pm :thumb2

I was surprised, they are not too noisey compared to what I was expecting, but I'm comparing them to insa turbo's.

Did you get your wheels balanced with these tyres?

It's bizarre how these trucks can wear 35" tyres and they look like they should come from the factory with them, don't look oversized in any way...

Yeah they look spot on, when I first saw them I thought bloody hell these tyres are huge. I was looking at creepy's mudzillas and waystone extremes.
How did your friend in Aus get on with his mudzillas, in the pics you put on my problem thread they looked like they fit quite easy but I thought they would be pretty tight on mine. Maybe the smaller offset wheels? :nenau

Its funny though, with these wheels and tyres on my speedo is now reading bang on compared to my satnav, as you say its as if they should be on from factory, its as if Nissan knew :clap

Andy had no problems with his mudzillas... Unlike all vehicles built nowadays these trucks were over engineered from the factory a true icon.

Ever since I had problems with my injection pump I've been thinking of giving it a helping hand after getting it fixed.

Looking into this it's not uncommon to be fitting a lift pump.

So this is what I've done. Got a facet lift pump that flows between 7 to 10 psi and can pull the diesel from 1.3 meters above fuel tank. So when climbing hills I should still have maximum fuel pressure

I will be getting rid of my ariel as it will eventually get snapped and the ariel motor must have burnt out as the switch to lower and raise the ariel never worked. So this switch has now been turned into a manual primer for the facet pump :thumbs

That's a really good mod K.:thumb2
Cool lookin underside to.:thumb2

I also got rid of the bleed valve as I think it wasn't working properly and I'm very happy with the result, it has definitely made a difference and helped :D

Smoother idle and much greater ability to freely rev higher.

I think these engines struggle to draw the fuel they need at higher rpm and especially with the chip demanding even more fuel.

This should also hopefully help extend the life of the injection pump internals as they won't have to work as hard trying to pull the fuel from the tank itself.

Very happy I got this done :clap

Fantastic mod that matey, I'm having a similar problem to you at the moment but mine has been caused by me swapping the standard fuel filter for a tiny transparent mesh one which is causing a restriction and I think is what's causing my EML light to come on.

What an awesome job on the underside too, you took your time when you did that!!!! Presuming it's Waxoyl, did you apply by hand or with the pressure lance?

Keep up the mods :thumbs

Thanks Banshee, I'd love to take credit but I got a garage to do that. I think the results speak for themselves.

However........I think I have a problem.......I think I'm suffering from bigorexia with the truck....
