Not a hugely exciting Mod, however... It could be my best one yet! :D

I found the water jets on the bonnet were rubbish, sometimes not even making it to the middle of the windscreen!

So...

Bam... Wiper Arm Water Jets!

The tubing runs nicely thru the scuttle panel back to the original water jet pipe work!

At last... Water where I want it!

Man, what a day!

Decided to take out my instrument cluster today... Wanted to check out what bulbs I would need if I chose to do an LED upgrade.

So much room, if only I didn't need an instrument cluster! :doh

Turns out that there's only 5 actual bulbs you can change. Left Indicator, Right Indicator, Full Beam and two bulbs to light up each side of the dial.

The rest are LEDs built into the PCB.

It was then that I found out a dark secret...

A previous owner... Or an unscrupulous garage has taped over the Engine Oil light!

Tape removed and a plugging the cluster back in shows the light illuminate and extinguish as it should. :p Phew!

Once I had it all back together, the strangest thing happened... All the needles were out of whack! :doh

I had to dismantle it and reset them with the engine running, pulled the Rev down to its idle point and the speed back to zero as it had jumped to 20 mp/h.

I moved my temp gauge back to the cool side of things as I knew the engine had not had time to heat up yet.

As for the fuel gauge... I couldn't remember how much I had in the tank, so I had to go to the local garage and fill up so I could move the needle to a known place!

Awesome I thought. All done.

Nope... Some of the needles were sticking, like I'd pushed them on too hard.

A little more messing around and I had it sorted! :thumbs

That was until I had it all plugged back in and dash screwed back together...

The left side of the dial now doesn't illuminate! :doh

Thats enough for tonight... I'll pull it all out again another day! :banghead

3 steps forward 1 step back:doh good effort though.
The 3ltr suffers with oil pressure switch fails. Might be worth checking they are both connected properly as someone had reason to tape it up:nenau

Keep at it Jay you obviously have got the dedication and skill, you just need to identify what you have done wrong, great post, Rick

Getting an oil pressure sensor/gauge soon, so all will be checked! :D

At last, a sneak peak at the next part of my build!

Here's what the postman brought me...

I don't have time right now to get the whole thing set up, but it will display via HDMI thru my stereo screen.

Here's a quick pic of it on my TV.

Impressive setup but why oh why are you not going down the hud route :augie

Seriously insane display!
every one of those needs a sensor...have you got your exhaust sorted yet?

I have all the sensors... Not got any of them fitted yet. :doh

Been really busy at work and now have a very poorly cat, so time is short at the minute!
