I hope that wing trim goes back on!!! That looks a tight fit :eek:

How wrong does it feel drilling a hole into a wing in a condition like that? It's horrible isn't it, I felt so odd when I took the drill to mine, I couldn't press the trigger on the drill at first :lol

Yeah, it did feel a little bit wrong!

Feels good now it's done tho! :clap

Looking straight at it without the camera angle, it looks like the arch will fit back on no problems.
 
After mounting various gauges under my stereo, it was time to attempt to move the Climate Control Unit down to the bottom of the console.

Marking the panel ready for cutting.

Once cut, I attempted to fit the CCU, but there was not enough depth to make it sit right. :doh

I had to move onto 'Plan B' .... Leave the CCU where its supposed to go and mount the gauges at the bottom of the console.

Looking good bud, but where gave you put the difflock switch and the 12v socket?:nenau
 
I'm not fussed about the Cig Lighter... I have USB socket knocking about.

The Diff Lock will be moved to here...

I'm sure they're not for the Diffs... So could they be transmission and gearbox breathers maybe?

One of them is the front diff and the other is the gearbox and transfer box. Get them all extended up the snorkel, including the rear diff breather :thumbs

Does the inner arch on the snorkel side have to be off to be able to get to these?
 
It's the 1st time I've seen them...

If you look in your engine bay on the side of the snorkel you will see 3(?) green solid lines that run into the side wall... That's what is on the other side of the pic I've taken.

So you may be able to manipulate them from that side... But its as easy to take off the inner arch. :)
 
So it seems that the 3rd breather is blocked by some metal skin in the wheel arch... This will need to be drilled if you want to get it extended.

I was thinking, instead of taking the extended breather pipes out side of the car and then up the side of the snorkel... Why not tap into the snorkel itself with brass barbs still inside the arch, keeping everything nice and neat?
 
You sure that it's blocked bud as that would cause issues with whatever the breather goes to? According to the Aussies it's just that two of them combine? :confused:
 
Yeah, I thought they'd combine too... But I checked this morning from the engine bay side, and 3 go into the grommet. (One directly above the other 2.)
