Well I hired a trailer today and took a trip up to near Bakwell and met Uncle Elts at a farm where I was due to pick up another Terrano :naughty

Here it is;

Ready to load after jacking up the front up and wedging some blocks between the lower arm and the chassis. Elty's Twin Piston Durite Compressor made light work of pumping the 3 flats up :clap

Loaded up and ready to hit the road home

Nice and clean after £6 at the jetwash :doh

Looks like a different motor after a jet wash.:thumb2
Was good seeing you again mate,made a change from the usual Sunday afternoon activities.
Even managed a few cheeky lanes on the way home as they where literally at the end of the road from the farm:cool:

I need to have a sneaky peak under it the next few days and see how much it's going to take to repair the snapped compression rod leg back onto the chassis and see if there's any other nasties waiting for me :bow

So far so good though, I got it started earlier after a bit of EasyStart and help from a neighbours Qashqai with a set of good jump leads connected.

It did seem to be struggling to turn over at first and it was soon apparent that the starter motor had become a bit seized over time, the more we cranked it, the easier it cranked until we got the lumpy rumble of combustion on and off until it finally burst into life and absolutely sooted the street out :lol

Let it sit and idle for 15 mins and got half way to normal operating temperature and then switched it off, I tried an immediate restart and it went sweet as a nut like it's been in daily use.

It's going to be very very tight now with bloody Xmas a few days away so I probably wont get chance to roll under it to have a look for any rot but I'll keep you guys posted

Was good to see you too mate and Kayleigh, thanks for all your help :thumb2

Whats a compression rod leg?

Starter motors are easy enough to strip and rebuild mate, satisfying too, I changed a bearing in mine and is good as new, can't remember if I posted about it, if not I'll ad it to my thread :thumb2

It's the mounting bracket that has broken away from the chassis.
If the rest of the underside is solid I would be tempted to repair.

That looke like a proper truck mate!
Otherwise if not, get the engine out and put in in the Patrol? Will save you some work with the glowplugs.

The Trol is a 2.8 so not a straight swap, needs loom and ecu etc.

It does look nice dunnit but its lies underneath innit, even the c200 could be rotten, if you do break it though I would like those front indicators :thumb2:thumb2

I'm fairly certain that I wont be breaking it :naughty

I've been naughty and while the girlfriend went out earlier for a walk around Stratford, I've been messing/inspecting/tinkering

Had a little walk around the truck earlier with a brew, I've deliberated sorting it out and using it for a little bit for giggles :thumb2

Here's a few Xmas Day photos of my best present :lol

I had a set of front Wind Deflectors in storage from Toshi's truck that I dug out and decided to fit

The next job is to find the two mirrors that I removed off the Toshi's motor as well and replace the two red mirror caps that are annoying the hell out of me at the moment :doh

I had a little session with the hoover and a black bag last night as the interior was very neglected, not stained or soiled, just crumbs, hay, old CD's, food wrappers etc etc

It came up nice in the areas I got chance to do :cool:

It would be a bit boring Jim :lol It would be two steps, clip off, clip on :doh

A little list of issues that I've found so far other than the obvious suspension issues;

Snapped Torsion Bar
Damaged Compression Rod Chassis Mount
New set of wheels and tyres needed
Drivers External Door Handle not working
Mirror Caps not the right colour
