All parts have been shot blasted, acid etch primed and powder coated in a matt black polyester finish:thumb2

Nice one Elts :)

I'll hold my end of the deal up and try and upload anything I've taken in the run up to you doing the powdercoating, people may be confused as to where all those bits have come from lol!!!!

As promised, I'd better give a little update on whats been going on with the 3.0 refurb as I've had Elts on the graft too in order to get it roadworthy again tothe highest possible standards

The cement splatters were a success!!! The job is still only half done but I'm content in the knowledge that I'm equipped to finish it :naughty

Bostik Brick Acid works a treat and hasn't had any effects on the top coat or lacquer from what I can see.

IMG-20200118-194924592-copy-1024x576.jpg

The tank was an interesting one, there was almost 50 litres of fuel in it but it was 5 years old at least and there were some funny gunky black bits in it :nenau You know me though!!! I pumped it out through a 1 micron sock and straight into Terrance and he loved every drop :lol I didn't break any of the tank bolts either

Well done Banshee and Elty, that truck is going to be mint. God I’m missing my 3 litre.

WHAT???? You took something off a terrano without without snapping a bolt????, I'll phone Guinness book of records for you mate :lol:lol

Last time I've snapt a bolt it was during putting something back :augie

Just putting the feelers out there, is there any interest in the truck at this point?

As soon as it's roadworthy and there's an MOT on it, it's going on AutoTrader and eBay.

I'm asking £2500 no negotiations as you won't find one cleaner

Update time

Going to let the pictures do the talking, you guys know the drill, if you want to know anything shout up :naughty

Bit of exhaust work now? The existing exhaust system was looking a bit tired and I was going to order a new one but after a bit of a cleanup I've decided to spray it VHT and fit a new flexi in the front downpipe :naughty

Certainly some good progress there!

How does that VHT paint work on exhausts? Is it any good?
Might be a good idea to paint my new exhaust before installing it. Hopefully it will make last a bit longer then 5 years.

I used to do the full system on my quad with black vht paint and used to last well:thumb2
