As you know I've had a real bee on my bonett recently regarding Milners and the quality of their kit and been looking for somewhere else similar that specialises in Japanese 4x4 bits.

Today I found these guys - http://www.japanese4x4spares.co.uk/

I can't believe that they are a 5 min diversion on my route in and out of work :doh I've passed by their place hundreds of times in the past year and a bit and never knew about their existence :doh

Popped in today and met they guy that runs the show, his name is Rob, really nice genuine, salt of the earth kind of guy, I'm going to try and establish more of a relationship with them and hopefully you guys can start putting some custom their way :thumb2

They don't stock as much as Milner seem to online however I've been inside and I can tell you that they will certainly be able to sort you out for bits and bobs.

Hopefully as time goes on and there is more demand for stuff, we can feed this back to Rob and he can start stocking more stuff that we frequently get through.

I had a few things from them when I had the Paj, and found their delivery to be pretty prompt to.
I'm interested now in uprated springs for the Patrol, they have them in stock, and I'll give them first nod.

I've been looking for a place to buy some pro comp shocks from as I think jimny bits have stopped doing them. I might give these guys a call and see what they can offer.
 
Let me know how you get on Doug ive been looking at pro comps for mine.
 
Pro comps are a very soft off road biased shock.
Got them all round on mine and have no issues but don't tow heavy loads nowadays and don't think I'd want to with these on.
I've also used them in the past Banshee and as far as I can remember I've had no issues.

I already have the rear 2" lift springs from them and had no issues and I thought it best practice to fit the shocks that go with them, but if they are like elty says I'm having second thoughts as I do mostly road driving and I tow a caravan. Saying that it's the springs that matter when towing so it's too late, I haven't towed the van with them on yet but I'll post on my truck thread when I do, I wonder how hard it would be to fit airbag spring helpers :augie:D
 
Cheers elty, Maybe not so good for towing the van with then. They do do monroe adventure which seem to have good reviews. Its always going to be hard to find a shock that is hard enough for towing but soft enough off road without going to adjustable dampers.

They have Rancho XL9000 Large on the shelf with adjustable dampers, I have a set of these fitted and they are great :thumb2

Been back in today to see Rob & Heidi and Kobi the Husky :thumb2

He's sorted me out a treat, my flexi is blowing just a little bit on my front downpipe :lol I've had a spare pipe off James but as my truck has had a Powerflow system fitted they have messed with the front downpipe to suit the new system so a standard terrano downpipe won't go onto my truck now :doh

I dropped both in at lunch to see what he could do and left them with him. An hour later and he'd rang me back to tell me he'd found a flexi section to suit the diameter of my current pipe and it was the same length :thumb2

To top it off, it was cheaper than the ones on eBay :bow I thought I'd get another turbo side gasket too, still got a brand new one for the middle section side

Is it worth trying to weld that new flexi section in place? Wondering if it would be stronger?

Good point Jim. The clamps could be used to find the correct fit & to hold it whilst a few tacks are placed ready for welding.

I'm going to see how I get on with the clamps on their own for a while and then do the hand over the exhaust trick to see if it holds pressure.

It will no doubt wear out again and the more pipe and weld I keep having to cut out the less pipe I end up with every time.

Welding may be the way to go we'll see :)

You need more ground clearance to stop it catching on the ruts. Best get bigger springs and body mount spacers made:thumbs

I fitted Monroe Adventure to my LWB 3.0. It tows 2t on a regular basis with no problems, granted I don't do any "serious" off-roading, but it gets a bit of use as a shoot wagon in the winter and has some crappy tracks and field edges to deal with and handles them with no problems.

Can you say what the part number and price are on that bit Zac, Suz's car's flexi has gone and the rest of the exhaust is still silver, so if I could just replace that bit, it would be a lot cheaper, and less work hopefully.

Now I've been fortunate enough not to have had any problems with Milners and I now wish to purchase a poly bush kit for the rear axle.
Milners sell the complete kit plus the panhard bushes for £99, which includes £6.50 postage.
This place sells the same kit but minus the panhard bushes for £134.50 with free delivery.
So in this instance I've got to go back to Milners, haven't I?
 
i use milners all the time i recently needed brake caliper slide pins ordered them from milners and the ones i received were nissan original part and for front pipe i have fitted many of these to other vehicles i have owned and great price and value also fitted poly arb bushes from the front poly drag link ones fine 3 years on
