What head unit you fitting bud?

I have a pioneer one somewhere, an oldie but a goodie. Nothing too fancy, it plays cd's and changes colour :lol I just need to find it :doh

That is a long drive with just your thoughts mate, you did well to fight the voices :lol:thumbs

No voices needed, I had the head unit fitted in time. The Android one on my thread.

A guy on facefeck recommended it to someone in a post so I thought I'd give it a go. It has a lot of promise.

Good find even if it was over on the "Dark Side" :lol

I will see how you get on, as I do need to look into fitting a better "hands free" style radio into Suz's car soon.

Like the look of that switch matey.

Cheers Jim, took me ages to find one I liked and that didn't have a massive diameter, I am looking forwad to it getting here, I believe it's aluminium construction :nenau

I think I will get some of these when the time comes for led bars etc, maybe try and fit two either side of the hazard switch, I'll see what room is left http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SmartSwit...var=422821608797&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

What I'd really like is one of these :D http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Switch-Pr...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Hazard switch came today, happy with quality and it came with what is presumably a flasher unit that fits onto the back of the switch. I'm going to search the forum for info on the wiring for it but if any of you fuse heads on here have any words of advice as always it will be welcomed with gratitude :thumb2

Didn't lazy ferret do some kind of wiring diagram or description, must be a good year or so ago.

There are two pairs of wires.
One pair for the lamp in the switch and the other for the hazard function.
One of the hazard pair is ground, the switch simply grounds the other wire to activate the hazards courtesy of the Time Control Unit.

Thanks Ray, I just found a thread where someone said to splice wires into the red/green and red/blue wires but not much else, I'll get the multi meter out and have a dig, thanks again :thumb2

It's like finding a fiver in your other trousers

Oh yeh, so I need some fibreglass gear to do my new stereo facia plate, whilst tidying the garage today I found some, new and unopened and a load fine weave fibreglass cloth, ooooossshhhhh :D

Wired new hazard button in properly today, did some sanding and test fitting, decided I will use screws to hold it nicely in place. The new button doesn't sit flush yet because there is some plastic behind it that needs cutting out, easy job though :thumb2
