Went and bought some acoustic carpet today, cut round the old carpet, I'll put it in tomorrow and see what needs altering when I have removed all the junk, I want to build some storage too, nothingbto heavyweight though.

No mate, I thought I would have to but they are the perfect size, u want me to bring some of those washers to wales?

Cheers man, did you see the steering idler upgrade?, I'm well chuffed with that, I've noticed a bit more feedback through steering wheel too, so maybe a steering damper next :naughty

Sure Elty fitted a steering damper to his Terrano, could try a Return-to-centre one like I have on the Trol, good at removing wheel shudder from running larger tyres

update

Bit of an update, took the battery out and drilled a hole in the battery tray above steering box so I could adjust it easier, the white stuff is some metal treatment that prevents rust, turns blackish when dry. Steering feels ace now, taken the play out but went a bit far, backed it off till it was perfick.

Trial run for some boot storage, made out of board I had laying around, some radiator brackets (house rads) and covered with left over carpet from boot mat, ran out of that so used a bit of paint too I'll see how i get on with this setup and make some changes before I build something more permanent and secure it to the truck...

...a nice snug fit for 60lts of veg oil, not by chance , roller blind parcel shelf doo-dad still works and fits how it should...

...and I left a large space behind the rear seats for sleeping bags and mats and coats etc :thumb2

I've also got some new brake pads for the front and oil+filter, air filter and fuel filter to go on before wales, and its going in for tracking doing too :thumb2
