Travelled out of Haines Jnct onwards to Tok some 300 mls, in the distance

We had not gone far and then roadworks (nothing changes) other than a lot of eskimo or athabascan indian women were working on the gravel roads as well

Signage was self explanatory

This is how they resurface the gravel rd.
first off they scrape the old surface down about 6"and then they lay a plastic sheet.

then they spread the gravel back down

Then it's rolled with vibrating roller

And then they spray water all over it

Reminds me of the roads in New Zealand, they have "sealed" and "unsealed" sealed means they just spray tar over the compressed gravel, Rick

And now were back in American Alaska having been in Canadian Alaska and British Columbian Alaska.
