From wash area to kitchen, getting a bit tight for space now, lots done this week but not too much for good pics, 3 weeks left, just done a recy on what is left to do! lecy can cope, Dave and his lads as well (lots to do but there are 4 of them) Data/security guy has it easy, I can cope with gas, domestic plumbing, air con for beer cellar, ducting for canopy and full heating plus sorting other trades problems, the grey area is the tilers, at their current rate of progress they stand no chance, in total we have over 5 tonnes of ceramic tiles to lay/apply so far they have not even completed one WC, words next week, :doh :doh , all this week Rick

No pics today, just too much going on, just seen the WC basins and taps etc, cannot wait to be fitting those, started running gas pipe 42 mm from meter to ceiling void where it will be accessible, then drop down to 35 mm, if they add further gas appliances later then it will be easy to upgrade to 42 all the way but at this time have to look at cost, 42 pipe is not cheap, I was asked today about 1.5 inch black iron barrel, problem is it comes red oxide painted, no good at all, owner has found it on the net, need 100 x .900 mm pieces & 200 floor plates :eek: this is for the balustrade around the raised seating area, tillers recon they have up to ten guys available, with less than 3 weeks left they may need them, hope to have some progress pics tomorrow, Rick

Does the red oxide paint cause any issues when soldering it all together Rick?

So much going on now, I am finding it hard to do any work myself, especially in the ceiling space putting together 35mm gas pipe, it take so long to cool down and the joists are barely strong enough so have to keep very still til it has set, and just as I get a joint up to temp I hear "Rick" being called, I do not like to be rude but sometimes have to be, this is new 42 mm feed from meter replacing the existing 22 mm, how the kitchen and fish fryer worked without problems I am not sure but the pipe run was only 5 Mtrs

Gas in 42 to above ceiling then down to 35 for the 21 Mtr run to the kitchen, then drop to 28 wit 22 draw offs to each appliance if they add more appliances later then we have the option of upgrading without any shop disturbance, there is also 3 phase to the kitchen and these could go gas one day, at this stage it is all about planning ahead

Now this is interesting, one of the bed sit tenants commented today that they have no hot for 3 days, about the time I shut the gas, so started looking for a tee into our supply, as always assumed the bed sits had there own supply as they do water via a 50 mm main, well found a pretty decrepit 15 mm pipe that goes up 3 floors then across a 4 Mtr flat roof and it feeds 3 YES 3 combi boilers :doh :doh, so temp connected as tenants may be in till Xmas then we will be converting the whole lot
