To be fair, I am pretty sure there are a lot of people on here running Veg who never post any problems. Alex is the only one posting lots up about it in a negative light, most of the rest just use it in moderation, enjoying saving a few quid, but still appreciating that Diesel is still the best option, and definitely the obvious "fall back" when you need to start fault finding.
I think everyone has said many times, Alex is probably pushing his luck, and trying to save too much money, by using too high a percentage of Veg, especially when he is experiencing running issues, so is seeing and posting Veg at it's worst.
When I got my T2, I stayed away from Veg for many months, until I had used the search feature on here, and gone back through reading everyone of the old posts on Veg and Bio. The easy conclusion from it was, enjoy it in the warm weather, but take it easy in the cold... There were a tonne of additives to try and improve things, but they all seamed to have as many negative issues as they did positive, and many almost undo the cost savings of adding veg in the first place.
The other week, I ran out of Veg, so was running neat Diesel, car definitely started better from cold on Diesel, but other than that, everything else was the same.
Yes spot on again Clive, I a cone to bring light all these topics and also to sure my views as i experiment white heavily with veggie as you all know, I love the stuff :lol
I am convinced there is will be a great way of running the stuff, and I plan to be the first to prove it, it will just take time. Bearing in mind ive already done 14,500 miles on the veg a lot of it neat in summer. To show for it I have a leaky pump where the seals have gone hard. Apart from that I have niggles a splash of diesel seems to cure, but I like t post my findings :thumb2
Wish me luck for the journey tomorrow morning :bow:bow:bow
