well i have the body... sadly the wrong side of the country lol

Hi Wendy, if those brakes are binding I would suggest going back to your garage again if they worked on them. Sounds like a garage I used to use.

As for your 4wd problem, I'm still convinced it is a hub problem rather than transfer box. I got really cheesed off with my auto hubs and fitted some manuals instead and not had any bother since. I know they were designed to work and I'm pretty sure when they are in good condition they are a better solution but I'm pretty sure Plank will back me up on the manual conversion being a good fix to continued problems.

thanks for the body offer extreeme
Shame your the other side of the country :(
Jim I think I may very well go the manual hub route I used to have a landrover with manual hubs it never gave me any problems I dont mind getting out to put it into 4 wheel drive. Terrano back to the garage tomorrow I rang and told them the brakes are binding they are going to look at it and fit the exhaust Fingers and toes crossed they get it sorted.
I will have to wait to get the 4 wheel drive working till I have the money  With all this wet and mud I could really do with it working now  never mind

stupid question... would a pair of manual hubs from a landrover or hi lux fit... say from the breakers or ebay

I don't know about the actual fittings belonging to other models and how they fit. The AVM's that some of us have fitted seem to be a standard hub and then like a casting that is custom made for each vehicle but I could be wrong.

PS Wendy if I win the lottery Jackpot I may well buy you some manuals -rotfl-

Thanks Jim
you better buy the winning ticket -rotfl- -cheers-
Any idea how much the manual hubs cost and where I would get them :?:
or is anyone out there breaking a terrano with manual hubs
I know this terrano has been a pain in the butt since I bought it but I do really like driving it

I got mine from Milner Off Road, think there is a link on the links page. Cost about £55 each plus VAT and P&P I think.

thanks Jim
While we are talking of millners any comments about their filters (air oil fuel filters) They look so cheap compared to nissan.

I've never used their filters, I've heard storys of cheap Fuel Filters not sealing correctly but I have no idea where they had been purchased from.

Jim T

So pay the extra and buy nissan then to be safe   Will check that nissan parts where fitted when the fuel pump filter and pipes were done

hello all
Terrano back from the garage exhaust fitted, brakes sorted and he had time to look at the hubs and he said they were dry no grease and the hub looked a bit bent and rusty 8O . The garage has greased and moved the hub back and forth and they believe it is now freed up but I have yet to try it out :( So this week end Ill get the fergie going again    and then take the terrano out to the field to get stuck in the mud again or not we will see  Ill let you know how I get on

There is a chance that the 4x4 system has never been used before  TBH can't see the hub bending :? If your T2 is going to be used on your land alot it'll prob pay to change the tyres to a MT pattern if you have AT's on but once you have the fundings of course as you've put so much in so far
