I've settled on the last weekend in September so thats 28/29/30, but have moved a little further south to Nidderdale, have spoken to 3 campsites that are getting back to me so one of them will take us hopefully, they don't seem to like the group thing - if not I will decide on a site and then everyone will have to book individually.
Anyway Nidderdale as some of you will know means Pateley Bridge, which means good beer, good fish and chips, award winning pork pies and the oldest sweet shop in the country. The routes I have in mind will take us near Hawes (home of the Wallace and Grommit Wenslydale), Masham (home of Theakstons and Black Sheep), Malham just a short diversion. Jervaulx Abbey and their neighbours Brymar Icecream - which has to be tasted to be beleived - but hey thats the touristy bit which you're all welcome to do if you like but the point of the trip is the lanes.
Now I haven't done them all myself but good friends have done some of them very recently and I went up for a recce today - and have we got some lanes for you, some really short smooth bits and some really long moor top stuff, plus for those that want it theres a couple of fairly challenging stuff and at least one that is definitely not for shinies but they can go round no problem.
So I could do with some numbers ASAP, need to know if you're bringing a tent or a caravan and if you want electric hook up and how many adults and children will be in your group.
Kids wise we've already established that there will be babies/toddlers around but in answer to Mikey's question my Sister will be along with her brood, I mean kids, they're 7,8 and 10 so really I think all ages will be fine.
