Right then peeps, done a bit more cutting and a load of measuring and thinking on the best way to repair the terrano.
I started cutting the rotten sills off until it rained.I am replacing the inner and outer for box section so they will double up as rock sliders. Any one have any pics of this??
I know Pete had some posh ones made but I can't get the search function to work???

We have kept in touch by PM, but not heard from him for a while.
I noticed that he did look in yesterday.
I hope his latest treatment is having a positive effect.

All these treatment have some side effects, and it's managing these which is also a challenge.

Any more progress dude? Started zapping mine today, still waiting on a mate coming to measure for my box section sliders so he needs to get a wriggle on.

Cheers Pete :thumb2
I'm still cutting the rotten stuff out Simon.
Gonna have a few hours on it later.

Not done much on the terrano with the weather being wet and it's always dark when I get in from work.
Managed to shotblast the chassis and give it a coat of zinc primer and a coat of hammerite.

Got a bit more done this afternoon, cut the rest of the rotten wheel arch out and made and trail fitted the new one.
Not the best pictures as I was losing the light.

Awesome bro!!!!!!

Only true grafters are out doing jobs in this weather :thumb2

This is what I like to see.
Tacked the last big bit up on mine today but the cold a dark beat me :lol

Don't mind the cold, makes you work harder to keep warm :lol

Got the arch welded in today :thumb2
Rather than try to cut it to shape I welded it in first then trimmed it.
Starting to get my mojo back with the repairs now :thumb2

Come on Elty, now you've got ya mojo back I want to see how you rebuild the arches. Interesting to see all these projects.

:clap:clap:clap

Had a couple of hours on the terrano today :clap
First issue was the way I was hoping to do the wheel arch.
Was trying to do it in one but couldn't get the right shape for the inner so it was modding time.
A waste of good steel but working for an engineering company has its perks:thumbs
Trimmed back ready for welding.
Also had a Trial fit of the floor, again needs a bit of modding to get it to fit how I want it.
Hopefully next weekend I will be welding it in but for now it's back to bed for it.

I see you've dumped the rear bumper and gone for a similar look as Alex with the landy lights. I'm guessing it'll be easier to refabricate the wheel arches when the floor is in place. I like how Tate has reconstructed his arches. You have both gone for a better idea than patches.
How are you constructing the body mounts under the rear seats?

Just given you a 5 Star rating elty, you deserve it!
