It is me having a blond moment. :doh
I need to prime the engine first before trying to start it, which can be a fairly lengthy process but I will give it a go tomorrow.
I will keep you updated. Thank you for all the help.
Consider the following:-
Fill the fuel filter with diesel, then use the primer pump.
If there is air still in the system, you could spray some WD40 into the air intake whilst cranking (air filter removed).
This will allow the engine to run, and then the pump will rev, thus purging out the air.
It should start straight away, and within a few seconds the engine will be running on diesel.
If not, fuel is not getting through. So look for another fault.
This worked on a diesel Vectra, when the RAC man got it going, the battery did not turn over the engine enough, and so it was flattened.
The fault was air in the fuel lines. (It was an air leak, but the fuel ran back causing an airlock.)
So I would think this proceedure should work.:thumb2
Any comments guys...? :nenau:nenau:nenau
