Are you doing this coming weekend  be nice to meet you :thumbs

doing me best!

thing to bear in mind with a road trip like this is that you're talking a fair old traipse to get to anywhere mountainous, but its well worth the effort....I'm talking an overnight drive of 10-12 hours (so you don't get nicked for speeding like I did this time:doh)....but thats what road trips are about!

I was thinking of a 9 day trip :D
Saturdat to Sunday :thumbs

There is always 1 & it had to be you :doh :clap :lol :lol :lol

Hey I get to pay wages mate! So I find it best to know these things:D

Hi all! Just arrived home 4hours ago from a 10 week trip around France, covered 3974miles t2 no problems, towing caravan, used 1/2 litre oil. Will let you know how much diesel when I have totted it all up, price of fuel between 98cents and 1.02 euro per litre but that was buying it at super markets. Weather very, very hot, france had it's hottest aug on record, 36-37c and one day it was 45c in the caravan when we had left it with windows closed! Off to bed now havent slept in a real bed for some time but to be honest my wife and I prefer sleeping in our old but very comfortable caravan....... good night all..... bri

Or you could all travel to the home of Guinness and we speak the same language (almost) a hell of a lot cheaper and real fun guaranteed.
Study the link below before deciding but I think we have something for everyone:thumb2

have to say I was stunned at the price of unleaded over there now....1.40 euros/litre on the autoroute!!

fuel

on a recent day trip by motorbike to Arbhem bridge in Holland and just into Germany we where paying upto 1.48 euros per litre and 3.00 Euros a cup of coffee.. (900 round trip left a very foggy calais at 01.30 am return ferry from Calais 22.30, ..... 1 large tub of extra industrial pile cream and 1st prize for the silliest walk)

p.s Re trip dates dependent, but sounds good

This could be more doable for all & no passport needed for those that havent got 1 :thumb2

Wake up some more info on:-
GreenLanes
Pay'n'Play sites
Campsites
Holiday Parks
Caravan Sites
Family attractions

Well what I was thinking was a possible email to the website of Leinster 4x4 and see if they would be up for a UK vs Irish challenge or even without a challenge to see if they would be interested in having a bunch of English,Welsh and possibly even Scottish nutters try their hand at some Irish off roading.
Camp sites, entertainment, holiday parks and family attractions are all over the place here, remember, tourism is probably our number one industry. As it is on the East coast it is most likely an hour or hour and a half tops from the Dun Laoire ferry and possibly a couple of hours from Rosslare ferry port for the Welsh and southern England contingent travelling from Pembroke or Fishguard. I think Paully (Lacroupade) will be able to expand on the delights or otherwise of Irish females and the quality of the Guinness and other Irish delights. If there is any interest shown I would be happy to call or email these guys to see what is possible.
This site is about an hour from the ferry in Dublin http://www.camacvalley.com/
