Nice one, what thickness sheet did you use?
Nice work Elty, looks tough.
Can i ask, do weld repairs like that need "Certifying" for MOT or anything like that, or can you just go for gold if your considered a competent fabricator?
Cheers
The MOT is a bit of a farce to be honest.
As long as it looks the part you will probably get a pass.
I want this good and strong so i can get a good few more years out of the old thing:thumb2
wow really, thats not too bad. Here we need to have rust repairs certified by an inspector and they charge around 500 bucks a go. I suppose the offset is we dont get as much rust as the Uk.
looks the part, hope it serves you a few more years.
Get in there Elt and give it a go, very satisfying when it is all nice and bright, but to save time and effort I stop when I get to good paint, I see no point in taking it off when it has been there for 20 years or so, Rick
I'm just worried that the good paint is all that's holding it together :lol
I repaired a Mercedes with a rusty outrigger, the only reason it failed the Mot was something had hit it and torn the flexible sealant showing the rot! The whole outrigger and floor above had turned to dust.
With the amount of welding you have done recently your Terrano should be eligible to wear a “Made In England” label!
