Got the engine back in and mated to the transmission.
Bit of a faff on your own lining things up but got there in the end.

When I put mine back in, most of the ancillaries were off. Made it dead easy to locate engine mounts and so on, but then faff after putting them on. Swings and roundies. are all your knuckles still attached :lol

:lol:lol
So far all knuckles good:thumb2
I thought about leaving everything off but so much easier when on the stand.
A couple of tactfully placed bits of 3x2,pry par and trolly Jack under the transmission soon got it back home again.
Once everything lined up it practically fell in place:thumb2

Do not attempt it unless the bell housing is all bolted and tight, Rick

Got the Terrano back up and running but needed to change the front brake flexi hoses before i could road test it.
Initial start up was good and ticked over nice and smooth.
Got the brake hoses sorted yesterday so took it a for a local drive yesterday evening.
All was well until i got back home.
Pulled up,put it in reverse and it started to hunt for revs.
Banshee suggested air in the fuel system so i checked for fuel leaks and made sure all the hoses where tight.
Checked the prime pump and was still hard to press.
Fired her back up and all seems well.
Will get out for another run later and see how it fairs up.

Air in the lines sounds more like a misfire. Put a bit of clear pipe to the filter just to check but it sound more pump based or check sensors like No1 or Crank sensor.

Cheers Pete:thumb2
Checked all electrical connectors and put in my spare maf as suggested also by Banshee.
Been on a 30 mile round trip today and all is well.
Had a bit of a leak from the PAS pump but a bit of lucas magic juice has sorted that.
Even found the time to fit my new catch can.

Banshee magic

It's like panelbeaters magic moonshine but no headache after the next day :lol

Didn't dare drink it after the grass died instantly when some was spilt:lol

erm, am I being daft here ? Looks to me like you have not got the crank case vent pipe fitted to the can ?

That's still connected to the original Nissan unit.
I blanked off the small inlet on the main air inlet pipe and ran the pipe to the catch can so it's vented to air not the closed system.

Latest little mod.
Removed the top off of my spare inlet manifold.
Ran it through the degreasing tank at work.
Drilled and tapped it and gave it a couple of coats of VHT lacquer.
Got it home and fitted a banjo bolt with hose tail so i can plumb my boost gauge back in.
All assembled with RTV silicone and left to cure overnight ready for fitting after work tomorrow.IMG-20181009-WA0007.jpg
