Been a while since I've posted on this thread, mainly because I've done sweet F A to the truck other than regular maintenance.
This is more a necessity than a mod.
After a cracking weekend laning in the lakes with team Nissan I was giving the truck a look over and found this:eek:

Made no difference to the handling of the truck and no weird noises to suggest that the ball joint is all whats holding it together.
Got myself a second hand one and gave it some Elty magic and a new set of bushes ready to fit at the weekend:thumb2

Yep,back on the road again.
Had a look at the other side and it seems ok but I'm going to take it off all the same and give it a proper going over.

They take some grief though with those angles and 33's mate

I've checked mine, it's a good heads up for other to check theirs

I wonder when the last time was that everyone checked their oil level?

I would say that with those elongated holes the bolts came loose, no other way they could wear like that, Rick

Well I've solved one problem and found another:doh
Looks like the old tin worm has been busy chomping away at the front of the truck now.
Found a hole just above the passenger side front body mount so looks like the grinder and welder will be making an appearance at the weekend.

You and me both buddy only mines rear seatbelt mounts. It’s worth it though to keep these trucks on the road:clap

Pot Kettle Jim!!!!!!!

We want to see welding pics to match Elty's work :naughty

And we want to see that good quality exhaust you are putting on to replace the inferior product you were robbed for :naughty

Was bored yesterday so I swapped my halogen rear work lights for a pair of 55 watt HID ones I won from milners in a Facebook competition.

Make the halogen ones look like candles:thumb2

Yeah I have a pair of LED work lights on the back of the old project truck that work with the reverse lights and a switch. Don’t half miss them on the 3 Litre but seen as wife is driving it I’m not too fussed about fitting a pair on that truck. Still not sure what’s going to happen to the project truck.
