sorry bud, got them made but the bolt holes were out by a couple of mm each AND the metal is too thick to slide in with the egr in place (fine if you actually remove it) SO I am having new ones made which will be 1mm and no bolt holes - I will drill them or lob the sides off or leave as is.

I am hoping they will be done next week...

Beautiful!!!! Keep me posted

ok, new ones done and on the way to me hopefully tomorrow for end of week....got about 20 this time apparently!

right! Got the new ones now, 1mm thick stainless steel. smidge bigger than the original gasket, and no bolt holes drilled - so you'd either have to drill your own, or lob off both edges.

I am prepared to send some out like this to whoever wants them - I have 20, I will be fitting my own again in a few days but ill be lobbing the edges off as its easier...

so, I know there are a few who want one, please PM me your address and ill get them posted.:thumbs

Right just to keep this thread alive as I think it has Sticky potential :sly

I've been out to my motor whilst on my lunch to see if I could fit my blanking plate in an hour. I popped the bonnet and I see something totally different to Clivvy's setup

Does this mean I don't have an EGR?

I think you do, I can just see it but the photo is difficult. top right the two rubber pipes, its between them and the inlet wotsit by the dipstick - round thing, brass coloured almost

If you look a banshees post 46 the pic shows at top right a round molding on the manifold (doughnut shaped) all the manifolds I have seen with this molding have not had the EGR fitting at all, those that do have the EGR have some sort of valve in place here, Rick

will get pix, though truck with mot guy to sort drip spill things

btw whats that in image with 2 wires screwed down, and the connector in front?

that connector is the crank pos sensor for the Bosch set up it is not present on the Zexel as it is on the timing cover, Rick

I'm 99% sure you have an ERG Banshee but it's almost out of sight in your pic so have arrowed it:thumbs the top should be a brassy colour with a black rubber vac pipe going to it which again i'm sure I can see that in the pic to

yup, you have egr.

two bolts to undo sort of behind the dip stick, tucked under, bit awkward so get your tool kit out!

Is this best done from the top of the car with the intercooler off?

I really have no idea where those bolts could be :doh

I did it from the top. I used a long bar, angled bit and broke the bolt, then I used a ratchet to undo the bolt as there isn't much movement, that's the rear bolt. The closer bolt, nearer the dip stick, is easy, I just used a ratchet and small extension. They are hard to see, you can see them from through the wheel arch but I found it easier doing the job from the top...
