but as Ray says no way of telling but to be honest I doubt it will be the module much more likely a corroded connection some place but finding it that is the problem, Rick

Nissan used the same ignition switch, nats unit and quite a few other electronic modules across a few different models. My ignition switch was listed for a micra but it's the same part no and works a treat.
Heater resistor is from a primera.

Yeah the horn for the alarm is behind the driver side boot panel.

Cheers thought it was that side, must have knocked a wire off when fitting the big grommet into the 1/4 panel/back panel area behind the bumper (wiring loom for the rear lights go's in the other side) or when my arm got stuck down there as I was lazy & put my arm down through the opening cover for the brake light was stuck fast for 10 mins & cut to sheds:lol:doh

I would think Nissan probably raided the same parts bin for all European built models.

That's the big problem as checked every connection in the doors onto the motors & the wiring from the door switch & they were all good but sprayed them anyway with WD40, connections onto the module were all nice & clean & the wiring looked good aswell. The only thing I can think of is to recheck the wiring again in the rubber boots to the doors & poss strip off the elec tape off the loom from the module where it runs down the bottom of the A post as it rests against some metal work there so will over braid it to be safe, nice job for tomorrow once I get back from court (I been good honest)

I had need to go into my fusebox earlier looking for the horn fuse as it had blown and realised that I have the new Dacia era fuse box as well, I also found my Timer-Control Unit for the central locking above it :thumb2

Good find on that Primera one Ray :thumb2
I've still not got that 16Pin Plug working you know Ray :( I've broken the plug open to switch the TX and RX as you said they may be the wrong way around on 12 and 13 and I've lost the enclosure so all the wires are exposed :doh I can't seem to solder the wires back on either HELPPPPP

Time for yet another update:augie Bought a new multimeter yesterday & checked the continuity of the wiring from the c/l motor plug to the plugs at the bottom of the A pillar & everything seemed fine. Thought I would check the wiring from the back of the door lock to the wiring harness in the door but for the life of me I couldn't get the U shaped clip of the back of the lock:doh A mate called in as I was checking the wiring & said the micro switches on the door locks can become iffy so at the min i've left the door lock wiring unplugged & the c/l seems to be working ok at the min so going to leave it unplugged for now to see if it continues to behave it's self:augie if it does I might see about getting another micro switch & wiring if I can get the lock out or just leave it unplugged for good. With the switch unplugged the door lock won't activate the alarm but the fob still does which is what I use anyway

Slow and steady progress mate :thumb2

Fair play , keep going at it, and just keep in mind that this will be handy for someone else in the future :thumb2

Well i've got no hair left from pulling it out & this issue has been very frustrating to say the least:doh but i'm hoping i've found the issue:augie but as you have said if someone else also gets the same issue there is now loads of info on this thread:D I will do another update on how things are going but hopefully it'll be good news this time:augie

Another update:augie We went out yesterday & gave the truck a nice long run as it needed it & had no auto door looking on start up or whilst driving & again today it has been fine:clap I will do another update next week or so unless it plays up again:doh but I think the cause of the problem is a faulty micro on the door lock so if anyone else gets this problem try unplugging the wiring from the drivers door lock first:thumbs
