dont worry about your tyres.
auto will cope real easy.
infact many off roaders trucks are auto by choice less wheel spin better control over loose ground .
if you get stuck a gentle pull will get you going again .
we have plenty of proper towing slings.

also worth mentioning that we would possibly be camping also so what would the post code be just for a search of local sites ?

please remember that when driving the lanes its the same as driving on a road as regard.to seat belts.ect.

THIS CAMP AND CARAVAN SITE IS ONLY A STONES THROW AWAY FROM MEET POINT.
I have not contacted them regarding availabilty but they do have 64 pitches .
I WOULD ADVISE YOU DONT TELL THEM YOU ARE GOING TO BE DRIVING OFF ROAD AS I DONT KNOW THERE STAND POINT.:thumbs

Adz, think going upto stanage from redmires/sheffield side.

guess those that want can drop down into derbyshire,
as will have plenty of spotters from the shiny crowd
attending, me included lol.

Stannage is not suitable for standard trucks.
So no we wont be driving it.

Have you seen the videos on u tube.

But it is ok for modified trucks but you will need waffle boards and a couple of hours.
There is a voluntary code where by its only driven down hill.

be nice to even drive upto the 'pole, to say its in my backyard
and not done for yonks, last time about 20 years ago the track
up from the dams had be surfaced with chipping so smoothly
i took a 2wd vw transporter camper mk 4 up and down the SY
side.

Ian presume you know those 2 other sheffield lanes between
redmires and the round house at start of houndkirk, trap lane
and something clough. also that climb up from the rivelin
valley through the gates posts, mind think you led it 2 years
ago when dadba and his troll squeezed thru.

got to get time off as have domestic permission and so many
faces to put to site user names eh!

If we dont go look at stannage then
at a guess 20 to 25 depending on how things go on the day.
Which will take us till about 6pm.
then possibly a few in the dark driven in oposite direction.
