Hello All, Sorry for the late post still catching up with what’s going on in the forums.
I would like to say thank you to Ian and JJ for making this Sunday possible and to the members that turned up.
What a fantastic day out in Derbyshire on what turned out to be like a summers day. The ground was mostly dry with just a few wet lanes so that i could get Nellie very muddy for the first time since i have owned her.
Apart from the bad start for Paul332 (Bless him) broadside on the first up hill lane and losing his rear box, the rest of the day was brilliant, I have to recommend it to everyone to try it out at least once then like me you just might just get hooked.
The views were just out of this world, from the hill sides looking down several hundred meters into the valleys below at the fish filled streams brimming over with trout feeding on the left over Ham and Tomato sandwiches topped with a few cheesy "Wotsits", to the red sunset lit hill sides on the opposite side of the valley, Even our highland members would be proud of, Also the viaducts stretching out between the hills.
I did not realise how much the ground clearance would make in Nellie and not having to worry about the bull bar being pulled off, as i took the Maverick last time over the same lanes.
Thanks also to Tubbs, My co pilot and little Tubbs, Also to Cameraman who covered this lanes first which in turn has made it possible for us, as a club to use them,
Also to Shelia for allowing Pudsey out for the day and raising money for our chosen charity.
Sorry i did not get chance to thank JJ and Andy’s crew in the other group.
One last thing, Should we have rescued them 3 sheep?
Regards,
Mav.
P.s. Dinky, She was good fun, Just need to learn what she can do and what i can expect from her, and how i should drive her too.
