If you think this is just a winter bug & no need to panic.

Watching the Hospital Doctor in Cremona on TV tonight made me realise this is not an over reaction by the media. Everybody needs to take it very seriously. The young can laugh it off as just a winter flu but the knock on effects will impact across all ages if they develop a serious non Cov 19 illness.

Selfish actions by a few will not help the country manage the Pandemic as it starts to affect the UK population.

Like others here I am in the at risk group who is already slipping into social isolation except for phoning friends & the Internet.

I'm 72 in May & have no wish to make our local undertaker even busier.

My youngest stepson is currently showing symptoms, also two others from his office one of whom is his boss he sits next to and the office is now shut. I am in no doubt this is a man made designer virus and let out deliberately, makes you wonder what else is hidden away around the world much less in this country.

I have been against communal touch screens and keypads for years, now we have them in hospitals and Doctors surgeries. Free peanuts on the bar are safer!

That’s the youth organisation that I volunteer for is closed nationally for the foreseeable future. Including all extra activities too which I’m guessing will be easter camps too. I totally agree with the decision too.

Looks like it is on the cards, all I know is it is this government is full of crap, they have not got a clue, this virus is a mild one, but it is being hyped up out of all proportion, as a result the whole country is in lock down to what is only a normal flue outbreak, if this is allowed to continue I shudder to think of the implications of the results to our small and large businesses, so very glad it will not effect me other than I cannot buy bog rolls, the whole world has gone mad but leave me out of it cos I am out of it, Rick

Having been talking to many old timers some into their late 80's, the consensus of opinion is that we should have carried on as normal while looking out for the most vulnerable in our society, thereby avoiding large unemployment and vast sums of money being handed out by the powers that be, of course many will die and by carrying on a few hundred more may die, but just how are we going quantify that, now we are losing income and laying off workers, that in itself will be the cause of many deaths and not the virus, we in this country have lost our backbone and are submitting to the snowflake syndrome, I for one will carry on as normal and if it is to be believed I am one of the most vulnerable! well I disagree, my immune system is second to none, wish you all well and, Rick
