I think my Patrol should make it up there without too much problem, but to be honest, it just isn't worth the risk. FWIW, it looks much worse when you are actually there than it does on a video.

Cheers

I'd have a go at that, don't know if the car would make it though!! or the wife!!!

I was lay under my vehicle, my wife came out and asked who was I talking to.......I just replied 'I am apologising to the chassis before next Sunday' 8O

stanage isn't on the list for beginners day so dont panic!!!
plus there is vouluntary agreement on it at the mo to only
do it downhill

Id like to give it a go. somthing i have often thought is that most green lanes just look like farm tracks that I am used to, I dont want to offend any one though!

Yes, in a recent GLASS trip, a Series III did it clean downhill, followed by two Defender 90s and a Suzuki. It was a lifted Disco that got stuck. I bottled out with a stock Trooper, so didn't attempt it

I reckon any almost stock LWB Jap 4x4 will have problems - with the possible exception of the Patrol which has more ground clearance, more wheel articulation and a rear locker.

Oban, eh? OK - so go have a look up the Corrieyairack Pass. When I was there last August, it was all washed away and impossible to drive - at the bottom of the zig-zags, about 3 miles on from the Melgarve bothy.

I did hear that someone had put a chain across the track recently just after the bothy, so you might not be able to get even that far. :(

I think any one with a LWB Jap motor will have damaging problems.

Its more fun and challenging to go up, but there are at least two SWB TIIs from this club have gone up and at least 1 down.

I wouldn't be able to concentrate with worry.....bent this...bent that....that's why I am putting my 52 plate Mondeo up for sale....so that I can get another truck - 1 for posing and 1 for bouncing off things.

I run two cos the Mav cost me a fortune and its more to repair than it is to buy another cheaper 4x4. The Mavs also my ideal 4x4 for most other things than the rough stuff.

The other reasons are cos my wife can't get in the lifted one and if damage it I can still get to work in the other............and cos I can't tinker with the Mav, its too advanced 8O With the disco I can cut and drill and take things off, put things on and just have a play like you used to be able to do with cars.

Does that make me sound old?

I like em simple......a dump truck is about my level

Would it be another T2 you would be looking at as your posing motor
