so i need a battery for the cb then lol

i will try the sterio power supply out see how i get on with that one

no no no , what i mean is it should be wired through the fusebox and not directly to the battery ....... a alternative is to fit a ciggie lighter adapter plug on and use your ciggie lighter socket

i do actualy know someone who still has a reftec 934mhz cb radio ....... once legal , but now highly illegal

Peter, peter, peter, I thought you knew better than to advise anyone to use a cigarette lighter type adapter/holder for a power supply to any radio, These are only rated at around 7 amps, your stalker would be struggling with this. Peter,Of course I am only trying to help and not criticise you know that. Always connect directly to a 12 volt battery with appropriate cabling and ensure both the neg and pos are fused, Belt and braces maybe but you dont want a warble on your signal, :clap :clap :clap

totally agree both cables are fused ... but for most cheapo cbs a ciggie lighter adapter is sufficient as they only draw a few amps

incidently , my stalker draws 15 amps .... linear draws around 22 ( depends on mode )

for obvious reasons i dont like to use the linear for long lol

Think about this pete, (your mate) "guess you dont like using the linear for long due to your electricity bill :augie :augie :augie Just for the record The Icom 706g normally draws around 15/17 amp on transmit at H setting (100whiskeys) NICE :sly :sly :sly

Icom 706s make nice mobile CBs. Remote head and plenty of power. :thumbs

Who mentioned 706's????

I guess this will be boring the hell out of people:lol

Jim

nah .... Ft1000mp ( mark v of course )

To be honest I'm happy with my TS570DGE with CW Filter, fitting a mic would be a waste of a good radio:thumbs. Get my G5RV strung up and I'm sorted:doh

I'll bet people are proper bored now:nenau

now who woudl really want to spend more than £100 on a cb radio to go green lanning lol

not me lmao

right i have a fuse on the + side of the cable but not on the neg so i will attach it to the sterio's main power in and then i dont have to keep messing with the channels when i switch the ignition off lol

then i wil have to see if the swr is correct altho i was told it should already be done due to the unit and aierial being the same brand and the box said so lol
