I'm sure Rick rebuilt your idler & if he did then no it's an idler arm not a drag link:doh just jack it up & see where the play is might just be an inner track rod end & not the drag link as you said they don't know about T2's:augie

Sorry dude, read this a few times but can't make head or tail of it,

Rick did the bush because I said to him there was really bad play, I supplied the bush, but in reality the bush made no difference, I take it this eliminated the idler :nenau

Rick replaced the bush in the idler, well that's what wears in them as far as I know so as that's been done there should be many miles left in it so pointless replacing it:augie now you've got play on one side of the steering system so jack that side up & see what's moving/ has play in it prob either the ball joint on the drag link (replace the drag link) or poss the inner track rod end (replace that) or it could be both then replace them all & while your at it check your wheel bearings for play & tweak them if needed:augie

Cheers mate I get it, I read previous post as replace idler :lol

I seem to have play from both wheels so suspect I need the lot

Do you have to carry out an alignment after swapping?

Pete has already asked me to return his drag link/relay rod to have missed for you Alex.
But I forgot.
I will send it too him this week.

If you are replacing the tie rod ends, then yes get your tracking checked.I replaced the steering relay arm and idler arm also inner and out tie rod ends both sides on my other truck about 2 years ago.All parts from Milners. Not too impressed with the tie rod arm and the idler though.

When I saw the title, "Best place to buy Drag..." and the author, I thought... yep that this was going to be the next step in Alex's progression...

When I found it was boring old drag links... I'm not sure if I was dissapointed or not lol....

Next would have been side steps....:augie

Still time...:augie

:kissy;) you guys love it really. :lol

Ok Steve sounds great. I will make sure I keep my old drag link anyway and perhaps I can send it to one of you guys to replace the one you already have? :nenau

The one you have is a good minus the end bushes worn ect? :nenau

Yes you will have to have the alignment checked & adjusted. Once you've removed the old rod put it on the floor with the track rods attached & do the same with the new parts & adjust them so they are the same length then your tracking shouldn't be to far out & you won't scrub your tyres to death until the tracking is done
