Looking good:thumb2. Wish I had the motivation to sort my old girl out:(. Need to sort myself out as mot due next month and got to drop fuel tank to get some welding done. absolutely dreading that job:(

Looking good Pete, the thing that gets me is you say that youll sell the truck once finished. I just couldnt do that when I had invested so much time and effort into it let alone your costs.

Ah well there you go I'm advised I need to sell it BEFORE I go and invest more time and effort into it
Basically the wife wants the drive back :lol
Do not apply logic to this build :wasntme

Been sailing today so not much truck action. I did get the shocks and springs on though :D
Nice n shiny black springs with rather sexy dark grey shocks :sly

I like

Finally back on the old Simex 35s :naughty

Front o/s caliper to fit then the last wheel goes back on :clap

Glad you put a pic of the rear bumper on so I can have a look at it.
Hoping to get mine sorted over the next couple of weeks while the boss is away in florida :thumb2
trucks looking the biz now, shame you are selling it when it's done but needs must and all that.

I don't expect it to sell in a big hurry :lol

Nah you reckon? :lol

Can you snap a few pics of the rear bumper from the side and underneath, loving the look, I take it see just bolt straight to chassis :nenau

Brilliant Pete, cheers for that :thumb2

What elty said. :lol

I was just comparing clearance from yours to mine, is it the angle or is your fuel tank bloody low? Or is that due to fat body lift? :nenau

Tank on mine is in same place as any other T2.
Have got that bigger tank guard on which comes up to the back chassis rail but no lower than standard.

This broody front caliper has been my nemesis today
My old red one on the left is actually a N/S one , I should have an O/S one on the o/s :augie but the spare I have is minging :doh

On the upside, the sliders work and the pistons move :D
So out with the wire brush with volts at max :sly
After some time with an 'ammer and volts :)

Then this happened  Right in me gentleman's sausage :(

Ya see, everything can be made to fit again :thumbs

Slider bolts etc all cleaned up a treat too

Apply primer and black and get this

Most importantly I have 4 wheels on my wagon again :clap
Clearance under the rock sliders sills is a tidy 610mm :naughty

The beast is stirring again :splif
