Problem is at the mo I have so many people wanting to come and not enough leaders.
I had expected that a few more of the more experianced drivers would have chipped in on this, but maybe its not to be.
Subject to finding enough leaders I will fit you all in. I have drafted some friends to help as you may see from the list. Tonka and Clueless (both Lady drivers BTW for any of the Ladies here a bit unsure) and now JonathanM has said he may come too (Thanks Jonathan). Doodlebug has said he may be available too, but he is running his own event the day previous and does have a family :roll:
I may well press gang Dinky and Iandouglas into service again
so how about it chaps. The route is over terrain your familiar with and nothing too rough. Its only going to be groups of 4 including the leaders, so its really just a case of stopping explaining the route ahead, when to use low box, which line to take and then people watch you and follow you. Its not too long a route to allow for these stops and questions. I was also planning to stop for a half hour in Pindale (subject to conditions and other users) to allow groups to catch up and have a little play where its quiet and out of sight. :wink:
As I said in the original post, none of us are qualified proffesional off road instructors, its just a gentle introduction to off roading for them that want it.
If you take a look at the route card its almost a re run of the last day out with the harder bits removed, and again there is no pressure on anyone to complete anything they are not happy with(including leading if your really not happy with it)

When I get some All Terrains and a CB radio, I might be able to help out too. Whilst I'm not especially experienced and don't know the Derbyshire lanes at all well (in many cases at all), I'm not a total novice either.
If you're really stuck for leaders (on the beginners day!!), let me know.

dont know if i can get her to drive pindale though .
although she did sit in truck last week as i went over and did say that was a lot easy`er than she thought.
as regards how many in group we should be able to handle 5 or 6 if need be rather than someone miss out after all its a FUN DAY .

As soon as my experience grows and I get some maps i will help as often as poss.
I mean, I do have a scout badge for map reading!!
