and do I mean E-P-I-C!!!!

WATCH THIS SPACE......Strata Florida, nae bother....but show Makeitifit and bit of forest and for some reason he gets the red mist.....except this time it was gearbox oil I think....all over the inside of his car this time though!

How did that happen? You may well ask.....those of you who know Pete might have already guessed.... LMAO! All I can say is I came home as high as a kite having had a FANTASTIC day out.

Extreme hang your head in shame, you missed a killer..... :):):):)

some come on where are the pics for us poor lot who stayed at home

Oh I got pics Zippy....and I'll post them on here - I know it makes for a large thread, but trust me Photobucket would not do it justice....! Just formatting as we speak....

The constipations killing me
Sorry :sly meant the anticipations killing me:doh

Hurry up,Paul. Zippy is a pic addict and needs a fix badly.

Ok, well we met up at 11(ish) at Strata Florida Abbey - sadly Extreme didn't make it because of suspension problems, which is a shame...SF is a stunning route with fantastic scenery and only medium difficulty.....could have done nearly all of it in 2WD. Fantastic weather, so the two of us (Makeitfit) and I set off with high hopes.

Scenery along the way...

It gets wet......no problems here either before you ask :naughty:naughty

This was the shallowest crossing we had....I did temporarily drown in one a bit later, and guess what - that "Startyabastard" stuff really works - Thanks Pete!

This was the crossing where that poor young girl drowned in a Disco that got swept downstream in last years storms....very sad.

This is the last Strata Florida photo, didn't get that many as there were only two of us and when Pete gets home (oops clue!) he will have a few more no doubt...

But of course I haven't finished....:naughty:sly

The pics of SF don't really do it justice; its a really terrific route, not too difficult and manageable in most 4x4s without difficulty, but with the odd mental diversion if you're so inclined. It was also good to see a Forward Control LR out doing its stuff!

Anyway, Pete was still fired up so we decided to go down the eastern side of Llyn Briane on some forestry tracks....can't get in any trouble there can you? Well he did get stuck last time didn't he, but that can't happen twice can it?

Actually no.

This was another brew stop - terrific scenery...

Anyway we set off again and pootled happily along until suddenly I spot this out of the corner of my eye.....and before I can think "I wonder if Pete...",his bloody brake lights are on. So we reversed for a little play...(nearly there folks!!)....

So before I can stop and say, "so how shall we approach this Peter old chap?", he's gone.....

First he does this.....
