i wasn't jokeing

well ok so i was.. best way to get better start teh day with a good laugh ...

Zippy when I lived in Pewsham the thing I found about Wilts was that, apart from the Plain, the county was owned and run by people who would shoot you if you dared to set foot on their precious green acres (in fact isn't there someone on the Plain that does that too????) - mostly London commuters who knew and cared diddly squat about the rest of us....you can cut it off and float it away if you like - just leave the M4 bit so I can get home of a weekend!

I was watching a documentary the other night about the Severn Rail tunnel and a welsh engineer was asked what would happen if the tunnel (which carries all mainline rail traffic from London to south and west Wales) were to collapse - his response was "Well England would be cut off from civilisation of course!"...enuf said! :bow

Now that is below the belt :lol:lol

I'm allowed as I have a foot in both camps, half welsh/half english! :thumbs

and seriously, i'm sure there are some very nice people in Wilts, possibly even in Devizes I dont know;)...I just found that whenever you dared to stray off a ROW or take the wrong thing along it, they were on you like a ton of bricks - and I've never seen more 'Keep Out' notices anywhere! Its such a shame because it a beautiful county - at least til you get to Swindon....

But then again, theres Melinda Messenger - she's from Wilts.

OK I take it all back...

don't know about the young:lol:lol:lol

I love wales I have bought a few ponies at the tallybont sales.
I love the pembokshire coastline and walked most of it
I have walked some of the brecon beacons
I have ridden some of the black mountains.
So now I need to go off roading:lol

The only thing that has stopped me living there for more than a season is the rain:rolleyes:
Too much of it:lol

Just down the road from me then! I used to take the kids to Talybont reservoir a lot and I cross the Brecons every weekend on the way home to Llandovery - but yes you're right about the rain!

I think I'll be retiring to France in ten years time at this rate...

Leaving Wales:eek::eek::lol
