Hi GoonerCarp, the discs are better than the originals, as they don't fade when you try and stop with 2 tonne behind you.. Better on emergency braking as well.
I still have to be careful on wet roads as the front occasionally picks up, this combined with the back end occasionally kicking out makes it a thrill to drive. The Older Mavs/Terranos never had really great brakes.
The problem I have, I think is with the Tyres, these are Cooper Discoverer AST II 235 75 R15 Rears probably down to just under 3mm now. They are not that good in the wet. Skid starts a speciality.
I am looking for some good tyres with good manners in the wet, combined with snow and the odd dirt track, does anyone know which tyres are best, the Cooper Discovers are in the order of £50 last ones were from Formula 4x4 at Stone Staffs.
