Hi Guy's, well here goes. My other Car a Reno Scenic was shunted yesterday. Here's a list of damage, what's peoples opinions about if this is a write off or not. Cars approx value according to Parkers is £1200 to £1500.
Rear Bumper and Moulding smashed
Boot floor with spare wheel well is broken appart (it's plastic)
The metal rear panel is pushed into the boot area trapping the spare wheel in place.
Tailgate moulding
The tailgate does not stay shut, tailgate may be pushed in or bent but I can't tell.
The tailgate striker on the rear panel is psuhed well over to one side.
Car is undriveable and also insure as it wont lock. There is a constant warning and bleep about the tailgate being open.
Insurance are picking it up possibly tomorrow and a hire car tomorrow too. The accident happened in front of two PCSO's so they make perfect witness's. Our vehicle was stationary in a traffic queue and car behind just didn't stop. Any advice on whether it may be written off would be appreciated. I personally think it will be a write off.
