I'm often puzzled by this number plate editing thing ? :nenau
What's that all about ? Must be such a faff to get it off :doh

It only takes a second to be honest.

I do it, as I have heard a few stories about ringers using forum pictures to find the right number plates, and easier to be safe now than sorry later.

I got scammed on O2 just after Christmas, and the only thing we had done, was post my mobile number on a few public Ferret forums, as we had lost a ferret, and were desperate to find it. It was only displayed for a day, but in that time, they changed my account password, moved my number onto another phone, and ordered other things on my account.

So now, since it is so easy, I just take the precaution, rather than potentially regret not doing it later.

What a pain  Well I'm goosed then, must be hundreds if not thousands of my pics on tinterweb :doh
So how do you do it?

I take the picture into "paintshop pro", to trim off the extra bits, and reduce the size to something easier to put up on the web, so while in there, I just select the blank background bit of the number plate between the numbers and letters, then copy and paste it a few times over the bit I want to blank. That is why I only usually bother with just part the number plate, as it is quick, and looks less silly than no number plate at all.

You can have fun and change it completely...

I love it, it is so intuitive, and fun to learn. We have a fairly current version, and I have an old version, which I kept for ages, until I discovered how to do something in the new version (Can't remember what now). I find photoshop too limiting.

Things like this is so much fun...
