Just a few pics to wet your whistle as there will be loads to come :D
The day started off quiet enough but a bit murky in low cloud
Typical Strata Florida really

Everyone popped they're "Bomb Hole" cherry and once all the bits were scraped up off the ground we went round and did it again :p
It wasn't long till it burnt off and everyone from north of the border was busily putting on the sun screen :lol

Suitably covered Rob was off again and the day just got better and better :)

Had a little country lane session via Llyn Brianne reservoir

Then off to Soar y Mynydd for a bit more offroad work :sly
here Rick found out that the petrol's engine braking needed a little help on the steep decent :augie

You can just see the long and winding road ahead which became this

There'll be blinking bucket loads soon as they're all in the pub now swapping tales of steepness :naughty
So good to meet the faces behind the screen :beer

All met up no problems, had a grand day and what's more so did Maggie and indeed the dogs, had plenty of relaxing stops for their exercise, and all made worth while by Fez our leader (thank you for organising it mate grand job) and the other guys and girls on the trip, Ian Fez's mate, Makeitfit, (nice to meet at last we need more time together to talk techy stuff) Barrbeast (nice guy from across the other boarder, first time out and did well) Exosteve and family, (nice couple and think their daughter would have liked to take Susa our little jack pup home with her), so all in all a really grand day with plenty of varied driving content, thanks to you all for making it so, Rick

Nice pics makeitfit, I cannot post any, be here all night, Wi Fi too slow but at least I am on, and looking forward to tomorrow, Rick

I'm pleased too as once the sun came out I couldn't see a ruddy thing on my phone screen :lol
Point n shoot worked for me :homer

If you think yesterday was spectacular!!! wait till you see the pics of today, did two lanes that even Fez and Makeitfit had not done before, so felt priveliged to be in on the two "firsts" Barrbeast & Exosteve I know enjoyed it as much as I did, and they did well for their first outings, sure they will be doing it again & again, it is addictive, Damage report, well I lost my rear number plate and mounting in Strata bomb hole, and tail pipe came apart from the rear box, more tin worm than damage, Exosteve scraped his rear end, but he has a body lift, and Barrbeast scraped his side steps and knocked out his bumper tail lights, but went back OK, Makeitfit suffered no damage as far as I know but then look at his truck, like wise Fez who by the way is the star of the show, without him it would not have been possible in the format that it was, a hearty very big thanks Fez and I am sure that is from all who attended, Rick

ahh, memories, must say, strata was the best fun ive had in a 4X4

Finally got access to some wifi... even if it does seem a bit steam powered!

Have had a great weekend and met a bunch of fantastic people :) Was great to finally put faces to the names!

Fez, Makeitfit, Exosteve, Solarman and Ian was fantastic meeting you all and your co-drivers. I will definitely be back to the Strata Bomb Hole and I will be taking it both ways next time :naughty once I've added a slightly beefier bumper :lol I will also be back to that lane we did today with the rock steps and "Mrs Lemonface" at the start :D

Foxy did me proud, was well impressed with her, as predicted it was the nut behind the wheel that was the main weak link :augie I shall display her lane scars with pride (Makeitfit, your self tapping screws will always remind me of popping my Bomb Hole cherry) think a set of rock sliders will be following the rear steel bumper although the sidesteps stood up to the punishment well... and better that than my sills I guess :lol

But the biggest shout out definitely goes to Fez :clap:clap :thumbs THANK YOU for an amazing weekend!! (and you are most definitely on my Vampire Tour co-driver :thumb2)

I really do hope to meet you all again, made some great memories this weekend.

Anyway, that's enough chit chat... I'm away to have a shower and head down to the bar... there are pints calling my name!!

Glad you all had a great weekend and the photo's look great. I nice part of the country.
