    Bolt Pitch

Cap"n Limey and I are about to fabricate a front towbar for my Terrano. The front chassis on my 2005 3.0 model has two pre drilled M12 size bolts which run vertically as opposed to the 2003 model which bolt the towing eye on horizontally. Would you believe that I am struggling to find bolts that...

    Front Towbar

Thanks for the replies. I'll definitely use one. Found various outlets selling them for around £160. Seems a bit steep for what it is. Maybe I'll just fall on the sword and open my wallet.

    Front Towbar

Any one have a decent contact or advice on offset front Towbars. I particularly like cheap and fit straight out the box! I have a big trailer to shift about on some hilly land. I'm based in Pyrenees and sometimes Hertfordshire. Terrano 3.0 SVE 2005, no Bull bars currently fitted. Thanks in advance.

    Terrano 3.0

3.0 litre in my opinion. I always get 30 or over to the gallon. Really powerful and tons of grunt. They are also coming in cheaper now than they used to with more available. Lovely truck.

Lost in France (money I mean)

You see. It wanted to stay in France where mine is. Good luck with it mate. Interested to see the diagnosis.

    Boujies (French for glow plugs)

Thanks again. I feel well hugged now. Plugs came out easily after I took the manifold extension off. Looked like a mouse had been chewing on the glow plugs. I have a thing about mice, its a long story. Had a good day as also changed gearbox, transfer box and LSD oil and sorted my squeaky...

    Boujies (French for glow plugs)

Thanks for the replies. Will meter them tomorrow. I like the sound of the easy start. I used to like making explosions in Chemistry lessons. Maybe it's a bit like that.

    Boujies (French for glow plugs)

Am I being thick here? I've got four lovely new glow plugs to go into my 05 3.0 Terrano. Boy are they long. Feels like its starting on 3 when cold and it's always cold here in the mountains. Looked at the 2.7 download. (Ta) Whipped off the intercooler etc. But on the 3.0 its different. That...

    Squeaky

Spudd, many thanks. Milner off road can deliver to France and the part is not expensive. I think that's the way to go. All the fluid will get changed as a result as per previous posts.

    Squeaky

Yep they are nuts here. If the walks say 2 and a half hours them they really are. Lots of French men looking like old lean hunting dogs. On the flip side, many with berets and the old gitanes permanently attached to their faces. I think you know Capt Limey, fellow forum member and Terrano owner...

    Squeaky

Semi permanent. Valee de Lesponne. You see em. I live in em. Burn plenty of wood here.

    Squeaky

Been scratching my head on this one. 2005 3.0 tdi terrano. When cold for instance having been stood overnight. the clutch operation is light and quiet. After 10 minutes or more of using the clutch it begins to make a graunching noise (technical term) and is noticeably harder to depress the...

Hi all. Picked up my 2005 3.0 TD Terrano last week. Loaded it up with roof box trailer and dog and drove to my mountain retreat in the Pyrenees where the car will stay. Didnt miss a beat apart from a stiff squeaky clutch pedal. Love it. Intend to do all the basic servicing myself. Look forward...
