Any one have a decent contact or advice on offset front Towbars. I particularly like cheap and fit straight out the box! I have a big trailer to shift about on some hilly land. I'm based in Pyrenees and sometimes Hertfordshire. Terrano 3.0 SVE 2005, no Bull bars currently fitted. Thanks in advance.

I tow some huge tralers and caravans around both on and off road. I have a front towbar fitted to my SWB. I can't honestly say that it has ever been any use to me at all!

I had one made by a member on here many years ago. I have used it once, but I always take it with me. You never know.

Regards

Alan

well then Plank why dont you sell it to mountain goat and make some dosh back:thumb2

Thanks for the replies. I'll definitely use one. Found various outlets selling them for around £160. Seems a bit steep for what it is. Maybe I'll just fall on the sword and open my wallet.

download the sheet, see if you can get one made up for less than 160...

even if its just your £10...

a couple of members were making them on a casual basis for around £50.

I had one, on old terrano, when got troll it didnt fit so sold it to a pal with
a troll who was going to try to adapt it. funny only today thought might see
if he has it still, though like Plank I didnt use it as much as anticipated.

in many case by time have unhitched from rear towbar, turned truck round
and hitched up again, which wasnt easy single handed for fear of damaging
front bumper.

if can weld, or access to a pal that can then the download is pretty straight
forward.

Hi my front towbar is very easy to fabricate and fit, only two pieces of tube and a short length of angle iron. If there is a blacksmith or metal works in the area you could get these out of their scrap box and then follow my instructions and you will have saved yourself £150 even if you have to pay some one to do the small weld.
