    Rain ingress

I'll have to get the vax out again then take the headlining down to investigate, door seals seem fine.

    Rain ingress

Ever since I have had the maverick, the driver side has a wet patch above the door pillar near the screen, water drips into the floorwell soaking the carpet. I have sealed round the screen but no joy, anyone else had this problem and cured it?

    Rover Bubble

Made the decision, too cold to start spannering so I've cashed in the tax, cancelled the insurance and scrapped the car. In this weather I'll use Mav, when it's warmer I have the motorbike.

    Rover Bubble

My other car is a sweet little T plate Rover 200 1.4 twin cam, I use this for daily commuting as its way cheaper to run than the Maverick. Yesterday with temperature hardling climbing above -5°C the heater went cold, the engine stuttered and refused to idle, in the mirror I noticed the plume of...

    Washer/wiper gremlin

For some reason the front wipers on my 95 Maverick have attracted a gremlin. The problem I thought was the wiper motor as the wipers would not turn off regardless of where the stalk was positioned, turning off the ignition stopped them but they started as soon as I turned the key. I noticed...

    Teaching Self to Weld

Gone are the days when I used to arc weld down to 22 gauge with old fashioned rods. This tip may help, we used to put a lump hammer behind the part to be welded if we had blown through, then build up the edges a little at a time to fill the hole before making a full run. The hammer just took...

Your'e thinking of the old style Hobby, the modern ones look just like any other but the finish inside is fantastic. Adrias are nice too and very light.

best value used caravan for £10k

For 16k I'd say forget the caravan and go for a motorhome. I've had tents, folding campers and caravans, just wish I could afford a campervan. Hobby caravans might tick your box though, you get a lot more for your ££ especially when you buy from these guys Coppensrekreatie

    Lift Pump 2.7 TD

The original problem was the banjo filter blocked causing smoking and loss of power, thanks to the forum I cleaned it and no problems since, plenty of vroom vroom. I'm only guessing when I said air, I never had to bleed it, she just turned over a bit longer than normal after I had run her with...
