again, my fecking wipers got jammed and wouldn't turn off, so instead of emptying the relay of water and blasting it with mums hair dryer, i disided to tackle this inconvenience ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!:hmh

should work with variable and non-variable

mine is variable

1st step, take the relay apart and drain out the water out....quite a bit came out mine:doh:augie

2, blast its internals with mum or wife's hairdryer :augie

3, seal the terminals inside with hot glue try not to cover unnecessary components with glue especially the relay as this needs to be free to move

4, put it back together and seal all the gaps, make sure the connector will still fit

your done, give it a test

smother the bugger with glue:D mine weighs about twice as mich now with all the glue!!

me thinks I need to do both road going motors as we are regularly losing the intermittent wipe feature on both and on odd occasions wipers would not turn off, had discovered if you give the relay a clout it cures it till next time!! good tip 96 well done, Rick
 
Yeah, the relay is usually under the wiper motor, I'm not sure where it is on the newer terranos
