My other car is a sweet little T plate Rover 200 1.4 twin cam, I use this for daily commuting as its way cheaper to run than the Maverick.
Yesterday with temperature hardling climbing above -5°C the heater went cold, the engine stuttered and refused to idle, in the mirror I noticed the plume of white vapour from the exhaust covering the carriageway confirming that true to form the infamous Rover K engine has blown the head gasket.
The dilemma is it only cost me £400, do I pay the same again to have it repaired or just scrap it?
