I think u will get a fair few miles out of ur 2.7 tdi's if my astra 1.7 dti is anything to go by. It has been well serviced. It used to be a taxi and has done over 220000 miles, and touch wood still purrs like its only done half that.

Its a daft question really asking how long they last as they only started making them in the early 90's, we still waiting for one to pack up yet to find a bench mark and see how good they are. :lol

Dirty Frog - 1995 SWB 2.7TD = 195000 miles ( died... R.I.P. )

Dirty Rat - 1995 SWB 2.7TD = 165000 miles

Lynn's Mistral 1995 LWB 2.7TD Auto = 130000 kilometers

That would have been the cam belt and as the above say a T2 ain't got one!

no it was the fan belt (runs a/c & allternator as well as others) 1st time there was no bottom half of the timing belt cover, fan belt shredded into strips n jumped it, 2nd time it stripped into pieces again and wiggled thru the chankshaft pulley bolt hole n jumped it again!! fan belt was determined to kill that car!

so glad the terrano doesn't have those probs tho!

300,688kms here

Has a cracked exhaust manifold and needs a new head gasket, other than those two issues runs well. I have only owned it a couple months and have no prior history on it.
