just an update, the cut keys open the doors anyway, haven't tried the ignition as i haven't got around to coding them, i'll get there . . . . that and the never ending draining battery saga . . cheers.

I need to get a spare key cut for maverick . . . the current key is too wore to copy and cut, so do i need to get a ode? i have done similar with my Mondeo previously . . . also anywhere to get the genuine for keys for the maverick (1997) i bought one before and lost it before i got it cut and...

guess so, i looked closely at mine today (ball for maverick) and it actuallly has a nissan ID plate on it.

its a drivers side front window, electric windows.

cheers for that, but it looks to be just the same as mine, other than you dont use the two top holes. i'll investigate but i'm sure we'd sort transport if needs be, i'm up and down country all the time!!

is there any difference in the window (glass) whether its taken from an electric window equipped vehicle or manual?? i ask as i need a window for my maverick which has electric windows and i am struggling to find one in a scrapyard, hoping i can widen my search. thanks.

actually got 2 of them!! work fine, a bit of setting up to get a decent battery life, but leaps and bounds ahead of the gooseberry i had before it . . . . all ok, til i drove over it . . . .with a tractor . . . it actually still worked, i just couldn't stick having the smashed screen!!

broke the glass!! lovely pop it made too!!! would have broken a back window to go in . . . . problem is its a commercial!!! so not back windows and i thought going at it with the gas was a little extreme. the truck has electric front windows is that likely to make the job any easier?? doubt...
