Did you break the glass or just the mechanism? Might just go back in if you strip the door down I'm not sure.....

broke the glass!! lovely pop it made too!!!

If you need to get in again without the keys, go in the little back windows:sly
You can undo the window clip from outside with a decent pair of grips:naughty
If you do pop it then its a doddle to fix in a hurry too:cool:

would have broken a back window to go in . . . .

problem is its a commercial!!! so not back windows and i thought going at it with the gas was a little extreme.

the truck has electric front windows is that likely to make the job any easier?? doubt it . . . . . .

its due an MOT in a fortnight, i'm tempted just to give them the whole job, fitting the window and putting things right, as i have a company car with alist of faults on it and a dealer who is useless . . . . spent the evening replacing a smashed screen on an iphone . . . . to find it now won't charge . . . not feeling very 'DIY' at the moment . . .

one again, thanks to all for your input!!

I locked my keys in a car whilst visiting one of HM prisons, the warden in charge suggested I have a cup of tea in the canteen, when I came back the door was open!!! ???

regards bri

ah, i bet he got one of the scrouts to get in for you.:lol:naughty

Bit late on this but i would of said "GRINDER" :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

& as Pete said :clap

"rear side window is the easiest & cheapest break in point" :thumbs

yep,

makes much more sense now i can see it, but as i said, all a bit late now.

really appreciate all the info you guys gave me, it is a great forum you have here, just wish i had looked around a little more anc came across than manual i reckon i'd have figured it from that !! oh well!!

is fitting driver's window a nasty job . . . haha!!

I have refitted a window recently, dont worry its quite easy, just put the glass in at an angle and line up in the rubbers either side then fix at the bottom with the two 10mm bolts

Should be job done

cheers
Steve

Serves you right for buying an iphone :lol
Surprised you can actualy unplug it long enough to see the screen :lol

all ok, til i drove over it . . . .with a tractor . . . it actually still worked, i just couldn't stick having the smashed screen!!
