I'm still a member after the depart of my Terrano but the arrival of an XT.

    LWB T2 Trailer

Sankey trailer axles? Use 5 stud Landie wheels, but if the trailer keeps a rear door wheel mount that would be easier to adapt to a 5 stud wheel that the hubs to adapt to a 6 stud.

    LWB T2 Trailer

First thoughts about this idea, absolutely barking! Then I thought about the issues raised of centre of gravity etc, and wondered........... Rear ends of 2 LWBs. Both cut at B panel, and joined to produce a trailer with 2 rear ends, axles adjusted into the middle of the project to produce a...

    Alko stab hitch

Hi Dave, when we had the T2 for towing, I'd reverse up to the caravan with the door closed, then open it and do any final manoevres with the door open and Mrs JonathanM keeping a very close eye on things. So the door open idea doesn't have to be too scary, but I would say only with a spotter...

    Jate rings

Nah, the pig tail is the recovery point, there are some small tie down lopps at the front that are just that, but the pigtail has decent hi-ten bolts securing it. As far as the chassis holes, don't know what the LR chassis is like, but its whether the holes in a T2 chassis would cope with the...

    Jate rings

The T2 has fairly decent recovery points as standard, on the rear two tow rings on each chassis rail, at the front one "pig tail" hook, but this can be doubled up - the holes are in the other chassis rail to fit another one. I suppsoe the issue with JATE rings are that LR's are desigend to run...

Thanks to JonathanM, and the forum!

Baskie, I'm glad you like the kit, I was really surprised how the car felt after I removed the PSI, I was using full throttle when driving solo for the first time in over a year; an unchipped t2 does feel totally different. If anyone considers getting one, do it, but also think about the K&N...

    Breather Kits

My 2001 (sniff) didn't have an extended breather on the rear axle, so I had to mod this to do the job. Gearbox, transfer box, & front diff all vent into engine bay but these can be easily extended further up.

    Longitudinal Roof Rails

Hutch, I've got a rivnut inserter tool that I won't need again, goes up to M8 fitting, let me know if you get some rails and need the rivnut tool, we might be able to sort something out. I fitted Suzuki Jimny bars to my SWB, really straight forward, just take time in measuring before drilling...

what a kick in the teeth

Deal is done, so don't know what they'd say if i got a buyer for it now! Get new car a week on saturday, so even if they were agreeable it'd be quite tight in terms of funds etc! Besides you'd need to know that my T2 fell into the later high emissions tax band, so will be in line for £400+ VED...

what a kick in the teeth

Just PX'd the Terrano - Terrano is 2001 model, £1000, but body wise not in the best condition due to greenlaning, mechanically sound though. Just no market for the older 4x4's with poor emissions, combined with fuel prices etc. But I've had my use of the terrano, and 4x4 ownership continues...

Anyone interested in lift springs for Terrano/Maverick

HB, due to the fact that I'm no longer going to be keeping the Terrano in the not too distant future, I'm afraid I'll no longer be after lift springs - I think you originally had a waiting list for these, so hopefully this won't mess up your order. :(

    Which tent?

Agree, the only time space (and weight) becomes an issue is when you have to carry the darned thing yourself!

    al-ko tow hitch

Times that this has been a problem for me tend to coincide with towing in the wet, and if the car & van are not mostly straight when tryiing to unhitch - had it happen from new, so the theory of worn pads or wrong ball just doesn't seem to fit in my cases from 3 years ago. Now, yes, worn pads...

    Which tent?

Have a think about some of the easy to pitch tents, I have an old Khyam that is too big for backpacking, but enough for a night or two away from home, and it can be pitched inside a minute or two. The difference between this and some of the more modern "quickpitch" tents is that a lot of those...

Bio diesel for 85p a litre - can I use it?

Eveytime I've been past recently the bio pumps have had none - signs/bags on the nozzles. Might be worth keeping an eye on that place though. I did get some bio from a place in Kirkby, bu it was awful. My plan is to try the place up on sandy lane, they have got a place seeling it in Bootle as...

Anyone interested in lift springs for Terrano/Maverick

Don't mind colour. Not being a flash git black would suit, but I'll go with the majority decision.
