:? I have purchased Terrano (2005) LWB 2.7TDI and would like to add roof rails. Quote from Nissan Agents £466. Has anyone fitted rails to their vehicle, and if so what are the pitfalls?.

Hello Hutch, Nice to see you in the forums

I would not pay more than £50 for a good second hand pair, LWB are really common more common than the SWB.
The correct tool can be purchased to fit them too.

This has been coverd before, I will see if i can find the posts for you to look at.

Longitudinal roof rails

Thanks MAV for your very helpful reply. I have looked at these posts and am now much better informed. I have started on 2nd hand search now.

Hutch, I've got a rivnut inserter tool that I won't need again, goes up to M8 fitting, let me know if you get some rails and need the rivnut tool, we might be able to sort something out.

I fitted Suzuki Jimny bars to my SWB, really straight forward, just take time in measuring before drilling the roof!!!!!
